Methodology

How positions are made

Coin Flip Consulting Group employs a repeatable, multi-stage process designed to convert information into positioning with discipline and consistency. Each step is documented, reviewed, and applied uniformly across all four coverage desks.

  1. 01

    Signal Origination

The responsible officer surfaces a candidate market and circulates it to the group for initial assessment. Origination frequently begins with a text message.

  2. 02

    Consensus Formation

The group deliberates in a shared channel until directional agreement, or fatigue, is reached. Dissent is noted and promptly disregarded.

  3. 03

    Probabilistic Determination

Where analysis proves inconclusive, final direction is resolved through a standardized fifty-fifty allocation mechanism. The mechanism is a coin.

  4. 04

    Position Sizing

Exposure is calibrated to conviction, available balance, and the prevailing mood of the desk. Sizing is confirmed verbally.

  5. 05

    Execution

The principal enters the position through the firm's single consolidated account. Confirmation is screenshotted and archived.

  6. 06

    Post-Trade Review

Outcomes are evaluated against expectations, and any variance is attributed to its responsible external factor. Findings inform the next flip.

All positions are subject to market risk, and the firm's process does not guarantee any particular outcome; results may vary, and frequently do.
